Prune and Propagate your way to Success!!

Ever wondered how to make your own free plants? Or how to rejuvenate that old woody shrub? Well Martin Fish joins us to speak about pruning and propagation techniques, he has over 35 years of gardening experience, starting out as an apprentice gardener, he does talks up and down the country and also writes for some well known gardening magazines alongside some radio work, in this talk he will cover pruning and propagation techniques for a variety of different shrubs and perennials and Martin will bring plant material to give practical demonstrations too.  This is the course for you if you are always unsure whether you should prune your clematis or when is the best time to split your prize winning perennials!! Ideal for all levels of gardeners with Q and A session welcomed afterwards.

Glorious Springtime Gardens

Sarah Hopps talks about all things that will make a glorious garden this Springtime. Sarah has been involved in horticulture from a young age and for 15 years  ran her own small nursery specialising in cottage garden plants, she is also a regular panellist on BBC Radio York. Sarah will speak about a variety of shrubs, perennials and bulbs and where and what to plant to ensure vibrant displays to kick off the gardening season this Spring.

Enjoy Bill Blackledge's talk for some top tips on planting your bedding containers and baskets for the season ahead. Bill is well known for his work on BBC Radio Lancashire and has been answering the regions gardening questions for over 30 years, he also works at several local colleges as a course tutor and does talks and demonstrations around the region. Here he will demonstrate how to plant up your containers and baskets in a practical demonstration and speak of the best fertilisers to use to get show stopping displays in your own gardens as well as other tricks and tips!!

John has many years of experience and with his garden design knowledge can advise on all things flowery! Whether you have a certain colour scheme or have different types of soil that you never know what will grow in it there will be lots of ideas given in this talk!! The talk will be about live plants and useful tips with how and where to grow will be given throughout.
